Overview
Official Hottest Chilli in the World 1.4 Million SHU's. 150mm pot
Description

In 2011 Guinness World Records announced that the Official Hottest Chilli in the World at 1.4 Million SHU's is the Trinidad Scorpion Butch T variety. We acquired the official seeds this year to bring you this special plant. Seeds of the superhots can be hard to germinate so at least you know that all the hard work has been done for you. Now you just need to keep them alive! The Butch T Trinidad Scorpion occasionally gets the stinger like tail on it's pods and will be extremely hard to obtain anywhere else in WA.

Plants are now flowering and fruiting in 200mm pots

PLEASE NOTE: There is a possibility that you could get a yellow Trinidad Scorpion:

It has come to my attention that I have had a few customers get yellow pods on their plants and have also seen some myself in the nursery going yellow. I asked the nursery if it was possible that they mixed up the seeds or labels. They said that it was extremely unlikely as they seed & pot separately to avoid mix ups. So the only other reason is that it is a new rare strain that has come through. This is how the red savina was found (in a field of orange habanero plants) as well as the Yellow Bhut Jolokia (seed from New Mexico Chile Pepper Institute of Red Bhut Jolokias had a few plants grow out yellow). Last year I also grew out a field of chillies and happened to have about 4 plants that were yellow out of my scorpions (different seed stock than this and that were saved from red pods that were isolated). I also know of a guy in America that grows a few thousand scorpions and he said he had some yellows show up this year also. Yellow seems to be the most recessive gene and because these varieties haven’t been around thousands of years like some of the other varieties they are not as “solid” as others, so occasionally you will get something like this happen. It is quite exciting to see new varities born!

Pick up only. To preorder please pay first and then pick up from any fairs we are at or the Canning Vale Markets.
