The famous hot chilli for making Tabasco TM sauce. The plant is loaded with 3.5cm upwards pointing pods that start off green maturing to orange then red. They detach from the calyx easily making picking quick. They have a hot smokey taste. The heat ranges from 50,000 - 80,000 SHU's. The plants grow well in long hot summers and prefer some humidity for an excellent yield. The Tabasco plant is 1m tall requiring stakes.
